In this sense, handball is a game that brings people together, strengthening solidarity and the awareness of achieving common goals.
Civil society activities emerge when individuals come together voluntarily with sensitivity to the needs of society. These efforts strengthen solidarity, provide solutions to social issues, and raise awareness. Supporting individuals with disabilities and children with special needs is an essential part of building a more inclusive and equitable society. With this understanding, we aim to create an environment where every individual feels valued and empowered.
Achieving together means reaching goals as a team that individuals cannot accomplish alone. People united around a common purpose complement each other's strengths and combine their efforts. Through solidarity, trust, and communication, challenges become easier to overcome, and success becomes more meaningful when shared.
Friendships formed during an active sports life never lose their value over time. The bond created by sharing the same field, striving together, and building common memories goes beyond time. Being able to stay together today is the greatest reflection of preserving the effort, friendship, and team spirit of those days. We aim to further strengthen these bonds by organizing events and gatherings, keeping our friendships alive, and carrying this valuable unity into the future.
Veteran Hentbolcular Derneği (VHD) (Veteran Handball Player's Association) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 2019 and based in Eskisehir, Türkiye. The association brings together former handball players, coaches, referees, sports managers, and handball enthusiasts who share a lifelong connection with the sport.
VHD believes that handball is more than a competitive sport. It is a powerful social tool that connects generations, promotes healthy lifestyles, and strengthens social cohesion. The association works with a strong volunteer-based structure and is independently; guided by transparency, solidarity, and social responsibility.
